“Only knowledge that is used sticks in your mind”
This quote alludes to the structure of the mind. The mind records knowledge in the conscious mind or the short-term memory. Unless the knowledge is applied again, the mind will lose it. Every memory has a neuron connection in the brain. The strength of the connection depends on how much the mind applies the memory. The mind is conditioned to choose a memory with a strong bond because it takes less energy to use it. When we apply knowledge many times, the neural connection for the knowledge becomes strong, it moves from short-term memory to the long-term.

“The only way I can get you to do anything is by giving you what you want”
The quote might appear manipulative but its accuracy is obvious. Good people have used this skill to serve other people. Bad people have gained power by using this technique. The quote is a principle that releases power from people. Everyone wants something. When you give them what they want, the desire to reciprocate will compel them to do what you want. When you want to rise in the corporate ladder, examine what your current boss wants for their company and work your way to serving them what they need. Your boss will promote you even if they do not like you. People practicing dark magic use this power principle to get what they want. A woman can use her sexual appeal to trap a wealthy man into making her wealthy.

“A person’s name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language”
This quote is a response to the desire for a sense of belonging. God conditioned humans to live with one another. The lone wolf dies before its time. Mentioning the name of a person, especially in a large gathering, makes the people feel accepted and validated. Many people do not care about the things we do. They care that we care about them. When we mention other people’s names, they feel cared for. The principle is powerful for a leader desiring loyal followers. It can also be applied by evil people, who use this technique to take advantage of you or the resources you have. When a person mentions, our names, our minds immediately conclude the person is interested in us. The principles compel us to drop guard.
“Ask yourself: What is the worst that can happen? Then prepare to accept it. Then proceed to improve on the worst”
In your journey to actualize your dreams, uncertainty will force you to take risks, sometimes greater than you would have imagined. If you take the risk, you must count the cost. Counting the cost puts in context the whole event. The highest cost of the risk is the worst thing that can happen. If you are prepared to pay the cost, by all means, take the risk and prepare to pay the cost. After concluding on the highest cost, your next move must be improving on the worst. You must think of ways to offset the highest cost with little improvements within your reach. The improvement will give you the courage to cover the cost.
“You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him to find it within himself.”
A man chooses what he wants to know. You might force a man to learn a skill, a language, or a course but the ability to learn remains with him. Learning something depends on the student. The only thing a teacher can do is inspire the student to learn what he is teaching. The effective teacher uses his expertise to help students discover the potential hidden within them. The student might never learn what the teacher is teaching but the teacher would have helped the student if they discovered what was within them. An effective teacher understands the power of identity in changing a person. Once a student knows their identity, they will begin to adjust their behavior accordingly. The teacher lightens the burden of teaching uninterested students by focusing on the student’s identity rather than what he teaches.
“People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing”
Success comes to those who view it as a game. Emotions and feelings play a vital role in the games of success. Emotions make neural connections stronger and easy to use. The mind finds it easier to do things it loves than the things it is forced to do. The brain lacks the power to determine what is fun and not. We tell the brain what is fun. Binge-watching, scrolling on social media, and playing video games are easy for the brain because we have equaled these habits to fun. The same way we have equaled bad habits as fun is the same way we can do with good habits. Many people struggle with discipline, waking early, and self-control because they have equaled them to hard things. They are not!! If we make these habits fun, it will be easy to do them in a similar way as bad habits. Most successful people rarely feel the bliss of their success, their excitement is found in doing the habits that contribute to success.
“Do the hard jobs first. The easy jobs will take care of themselves.”
Eat the frog. Give the hardest job priority. Do the hardest jobs early. The most difficult jobs, take the most energy from us. We must begin them when we have the best energy with us. Our focus, energy, and creativity will be at a top level when taking the hardest job first. It will also take less time to do the hardest job when we do it first. The easy jobs can come in later. The bits of energy left can be used to take the easy jobs. The easy ones can come in later. Doing the hardest jobs first gives us the momentum to work. The momentum makes it easy to handle simple jobs. In other cases, the easy jobs can be swallowed while taking the hard jobs.
